When it’s so hot in the D, the best way to cool off is with an ice cream treat from the Detroit Goodwill Ben & Jerry’s PartnerShop. It’s located right in the Compuware building, but there are a LOT of other great places in Detroit to enjoy your Ben & Jerry’s treat. In fact, there are at least 10 places you need to check out with your “so cold in the D” cup or cone of frosty deliciousness. This video was produced in 2010 for a national Ben & Scoop Shop Video Contest. Ben & Jerry’s recognized the video with its “Taste of the City” award and a cash prize supporting the organization’s mission. The video and surrounding social media and media relations effort earned a platinum award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. Hosted by the one and only Scoopy D, this it highlights Detroit’s top 10 places to visit once you’ve picked up your Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. Scoopy D takes us to the homes of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Lions, as well as Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers and site of the now infamous Jim Joyce blown call that ruined Armando Galarraga’s bid for a perfect game. You’ll see all this in addition to some other great Detroit attractions. It’s possible you might even catch a Justin Bieber reference in there too.
